CAPPELLA IMMACOLATA CONCEZIONE

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHAPEL

Dating from the 17th century, the small church dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, a few steps from Bomerano’s central square, preserves a valuable wooden statue from the 18th century. It is located along a rather narrow road, from which it is separated by a small irregular parvis. Its view it is concealed by tall buildings which surround it but it is possible to appreciate its elegant neoclassical facade. The small chapel is of modest size being a single longitudinal hall, covered with a flat slab, with a presbytery built in the apsidal area, at the bottom of which, the artistic original altar is placed.
