Routes carved into a landscape of great charm, winding between green and blue, through valleys, forests, rivers, waterfalls and flower meadows rich in rare species. Some of these evocative routes, taking paths and mule tracks traced in their time by shepherds and peasants, connect rural nuclei that speak of remote customs and traditions; others reach villages, hermitages, and beaches that have maintained their specificity intact over the centuries and today constitute jewels of history and culture, recognized throughout the world.
ORRIDO DI PINO
A characteristic route of both historical and geological significance which allows you to move from St. Lazzaro to Bomerano and vice versa, following the base of the beautif pink cliffs that fringe the uplands of Agerola. Continuing in the gorge of the of Schiato and of the Praia stream, you also can admire examples of Mediterranean vegetation, terraced vineyards and ancient rock houses.
SENTIERO DEGLI DEI
Known as the "Path of the Gods", this internationally known trail is the areas most popular. By following easy steps bordered by spectacular cliffs and through various gorges, the trail offers unparalleled views of Positano, the Sorrento Peninsula, the small islands of Li Galli and Capri. Very interesting are also its vegetation aspects, the cultivated terraces and old farm houses scattered along the path.
VALLE DELLE FERRIERE
An excursion not to be missed that takes you to the beautiful canyons of the Valle delle Ferriere: home to a large Natural Reserve with many rare and endemic species, both flora and fauna. Going down the gurgling river Canneto, you also admire waterfalls and ancient ruins of mills, paper mills and foundries, to finally reach Amalf.
BORGO DEGLI DEI
Bomerano's main square, is named after Captain Paolo Capasso, First World War gold medal to the memory. From here one can see Palace Acampora, one of the rare examples of high Amalfi Coast eighteenth century patrician architecture, from where starts a path made of alleys and courtyards, ancient dry stone and architectural elements of Bomerano ancient village.
CORONA DEGLI DEI
From Piazza Capasso you reach Via Casalone. Start to walk uphill to gaze at a beautiful panorama: glimpses of the bright light of the sun, which insinuates itself between the green vegetation and is reflected in the blue color of the sea, a beautiful landscape that along the Path of the Gods goes all the way to the Faraglioni of Capri.
ITINERARIO DEL CASTELLO
In the square named after General Avitabile stands the Baroque style Church of SS. Annunziata, with cross vaults typical of the Amalfi Coast, with wooden statues and paintings of the XVIII-XIX centuries, a beautiful double-face Middle Ages marble cross and a Roman times stack of holy water.
